Unable to install from the release page, says Safari no longer allows unsafe extensions and that I need to go through the Mac App Store.

Same error occurs in Safari Technology Preview, release 80 (12.2).
Sorry, something went wrong.
Appears to work in 10.14.5 (there is an Apple approved extension now) and I think there are ways you can work around this on your own. http://osxdaily.com/2019/02/08/bypass-safari-no-longer-supports-unsafe-extension-error-mac/
