Atlassian apparently doesn't support migrating Datadog integrations from Opsgenie to Jira Service Management (JSM). Or maybe they do, but are confused about whether they support it.

We should find out before Feb 3 because our monitors might all break on that day.

Integration not transitioning to Jira Service Management

This integration isn’t transitioning to Jira Service Management. It’s not possible to add new instances there either.

Read more about integrations that aren’t transitioning

Notes:

  • Opsgenie claims the integration won't migrate, but links to a doc which doesn't actually list "Datadog" as a won't-migrate integration (though it lists many, many others)
  • Atlassian claims that there's a Datadog integration for JSM: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/integrate-with-datadog/
  • On the Datadog side, I only see an Opsgenie integration. There are three different Jira integrations, but they all have to do with monitoring Jira or filing Jira tickets.

@timmc-edx: Is this something you want to close, or move to the backlog with a review-after date, or other?

Backlog and review-after. I'll set it for Feb 4.
