Is there any way to make the power button require a longer press on the RG280V? I carry it inside a pouch, and sometimes even just manipulating it makes the console turn on.

If there is any way to make the power button require a 1-2 second press to turn on (like the RG351P, for example), that would be great.

I believe that with the base image for the RG280V, the button wasn't so sensitive, that's why I'm opening an "issue".

Thank you and thanks for the Adam Image, great work!

Hi.
That kind of issues are not in my hand to be solved. The problem has to be tweaked to a system level. Or maybe the pulse time is controlled at an electrical level, I don't know. I suppose that if the problem is general, will be solved sometime in the future, and then incorporated to next Adam version.

Anyway, are you sure that it is the Power button that you press in your pocket? The Reset does activate the console with a simple press. In my RG280V I have to hold Power for a while to turn it on. Perhaps in your console the Reset is too compressed towards the case and is pressed too easily. In that case you might consider removing the plastic key cap and using a toothpick when needed.

A console carrying case might also help you.

You are right. I have tested with the RG280V and pressing very fast the Power button, it boots up. I had not realized until now. Unfortunately, like I said before, that issue, if is solvable, will be at a firmware or electronics level.

Good news. I have just tried the last OD Beta distribution (2021-10-03), and it includes a change for which now the Power button has to be pressed at least half a second.
It will be included in next Adam release.
