vscode is landing custom file icons support. microsoft/vscode#14662 (comment)

It would be nice to provide our own file icon for TDs.

I have submitted one to wikimedia to use for the TD article in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Thing_Description#/media/File:ThingDescription_Logo.png
