First, thank you for the useful app. This is a suggestion about UI.
I think it is useful if it is possible to enable/disable dimming just by clicking the menubar icon.
Once I have found a good setting, I rarely need to access the other menu items or preferences. So I feel it somewhat redundant to always have to click the icon and choose Enable/Disable menubar items. I know I can use a global shortcut but I generally hesitate to use global shortcuts because I don't want to care about any conflicts with the other apps. I would be very happy if single-click on/off is implemented. Control-click or two-finger tap may need to be used to access menu in that case. I think such UI (click to triger some function and control-click to access config) is adopted by many other menubar apps so it should be also easily accepted by users.
