Custom permalink for titleless posts #252
Comments
Related, if a post kind is used that doesn't require a title, then a title should not be included in the fields. That would help hopefully with posting, potentially eliminating this issue all together. |
@Cambridgeport90 I was fine with that... but many people weren't. I compromised by moving it in the UI |
Ah. So the issue I’m having where posts under the recent posts widget without titles show up as (untitled) has nothing to do with the post kind?

@Cambridgeport90 They shouldn't, as I added the system that shows an excerpt when there is no title. |

Custom permalinks for posts with a title could have the following options:
Number 2 is WordPress' default already but adds
-2
when using a custom permalink structure of/%postname%/
so a rewrite of some kind is still desired there.Brevity is better for UX which is my preference for 2. But all types are great.
