Dot's appearance needs to differ from that of Firefox.

The current browser appearance is, although appealing, nowhere close to the marketed appearance, as found on the landing page. Rounded tabs are already done, good job there! other things on the beauty checklist are as follows.

• Rounded tabs
• Maximally rounded address bar / search bar
• Removal of the back button's fancy background in the toolbar
• Alteration of the existing colour scheme
• Reducing the address bar's font scale
• Changing the default new-tab page to Compass

:D I just realized that the ultimate goal with the UIs is to rewrite all xhtml files, as described here, maybe this could be a "placeholder"?

Apologies for the late reply, we're working on the UI right now and our goal is to make Dot look less firefoxy. The UI will end up looking something like the marketed image eventually, don't worry!

Changing the default new-tab page to Compass

The New Tab Page is still being worked on and we will swap out the stock Firefox start page with Compass once it is in a stable state.

Removal of the back button's fancy background in the toolbar

I've already removed the border around the back button (30212dc) but I haven't released a new build since that change.

Alteration of the existing colour scheme

I am also working on removing that Firefox default theme, as it looks awful on Linux and just having it use the Dot light theme as the default instead.

I am absolutely obsessed with the technologies you people are building upon, and I appreciate the very hard work!

Thank you for the clarifications, removal of that pesky circle, and the fast reply! ( the speed is amazing in comparison )
the marketed appearance is lovely, and comfortable ( maybe because it looks similar to chromium's chrome? )!
I would love to see Dot's success ( and its new appearance ✨ ), and i would be willing to help reach the goals if I find the time to do so!
