On a true SMP system with hardware sockets it would be beneficial to be able to specifiy a manual CPU topology for domains. Eg. sockets, cores and threads.
At the moment vcpu maps to sockets and might cause drastic performance decrease on real SMP systems due to expensive memory access when crossing over the other socket(s).
