I use my devices in dark mode but prefer reading papers in light mode. Currently I have to switch the entire device to light mode for reading. I would like to request that a toggle button be added to switch between dark and light modes.

Hi @ajinkya-k ,

The toggle is a bit hidden for ar5iv -- you need to scroll to the footer and click on the leftmost button. It is a crescent in light mode and a sun in dark mdoe currently.

Is this what you were looking for?

Interesting! There is a button there (if I tap the general area it does switch) but there's no visible button. See image below:

Fascinating, the CSS is not activating for you? Which browser (and version) are you reading with?

There is a ::before CSS rule doing the paint:

.color-scheme-icon::before {
    content: "🌙";
}

I tried this on a different iPhone and the icon worked there. Maybe there's some content filter on my phone, but I did try turning off all content filters and I still had this issue

So this is a mobile Safari browser? I assume on a recent 2021-2024 device. Curious, I'll have to see if it is something more widespread.
