storing step size together with mode

it makes sense to store mode and step size together ... (correction to andreas ... grin)
in am a user prefers 5 kc steps (cause the commercials are normally on these step sizes)
in fm 10 kc (on 10m band as an example the repeaters are on exact 10 kc steps)
in ssb maybe only 1 kc (or smaller for exact fine-tune)
and in cw 100 hz (same as in ssb ... 10 hz steps for fine-tune)
so ... in my view it is not a bad idea if each mode would store its last used stepping size
or in other words ... i second that idea from the other user
