If there is just noise then text scrolls with random characters. If we would add squelch to print characters only if signal is above certain level, it would look much nicer. Typical PC decoding software (like Fldigi) usually has such functionality.
To make it usable it should be controllable via encoder (secondary function on Encoder 1?). Getting into menu would make it too inconvenient.

that should be something like a threshold setting ... useful in rtty and bpsk (cause we already have a similar thingy in cw decode) ... also the cw decoder could have the threshold ON SCREEN and not (or not only) in menue
