After several years of use of CW software decoders, I have found that once the speed is defined (both automatically or manually), the decoding is working better is the software stop to try adjusting the speed.
I would suggest a way to freeze the speed (by pressing a key once the decoding is working ok) and / or adjusting the decoding speed manually (using one of the rotary encoders).
