Given that the stac-api-spec leaves the handling of pagination up to the implementer (examples), direct reliance on page parameter is brittle. stac-server 0.4 will deprecate the page parameter, and remove it in a subsequent release.

pystac-client provides a nice pagination example using the pystac.link.Link class.
