The attached file is a summary of my rather rambling attempts to make the code work for me. I was successful in the end and I am very pleased with the ability of controlling my squeeze boxes using Alexa.

Great stuff, that's actually really helpful. I'll try and get some time to edit, update and add this to the existing docs (especially around the MQTT section).

@JohnKendrick can you clarify what systems you were using here? e.g. what local system (OS X?) and what server OS for mqtt-squeeze? (I'm guess Arch?).

@declension I am running both the mqtt-squeeze server and the Logitech Media Server on the same Arch box. My squeeze box client is a Raspberry PI3
