I've been looking into dat a lot recently and firstly I'd like to say - amazing work!

I had a look to see if there was a dat community on reddit but couldn't find anything, so I parked both /r/datproject and /r/datprotocol.

Are you guys interested in setting up an official home for dat on reddit? Should you want to use either of the subreddits I've created then let me know and I'll add the relevant people as admins.

In my opinion it would be a decent replacement for this issue list. We could organize content for newcoming developers (FAQs, charts, etc.) and keep better contact there

Or what do you think of a Discord server? Other developer communities (e.g. Blockchain) have a plenty of them.

IRC and Gitter are already pretty active, so I don't think Discord would be too useful.

What would reddit bring that can't be handled on github?

@RangerMauve just get Matrix if people wanted Discord, it make things easy when compared to Gitter.

@DonaldTsang I think some people are using Matrix with the IRC channel, actually. I'm not sure how widespread it is, though.

@RangerMauve trust me FOSS people like Matrix as much as Discord
