cc @RangerMauve @pfrazee... would it make sense to more clearly deprecate this repository and clearly point to a list of replacement applications?

Not sure what a good alternative would be RN. :/ I don't think anything does files as files still.

I'd be down to deprecate or point people towards the earlier version with the caveat that it won't work with any other dat stuff. 🤷

We're still discussing this but I'm 99% sure my (the BLL) team is going to be building a files-focused desktop app after the Beaker 1.0 release (which will be out this month). Pretty sure it'll make a good replacement for this
