As reported on the mailing-list:
when the dart-editor is copied into a read-only partition it stops working. This means that it is currently not possible to create a proper Linux package for the dart-editor.
Here is the Arch package that breaks, because the files are not writable: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/da/dart-editor/PKGBUILD

I have attached the error output in a separate file.
