Describe the bug

Chars like t͡ʃa͜jt͡ʃj͜an are not displayed properly on MacOS or iPadOS.
On MacOS they are displayed like

On iPadOS they are displayed like

To Reproduce

Copy [t͡ʃa͜jt͡ʃj͜a] and paste into the text editor.
Switch to view mode if not already there.

Hey @JGantts, sorry for the delay in getting around to this.

I've tested this, and it seems to be a font issue more than a Typewriter issue. Do you have the iA Writer fonts installed on your Mac? If yes, that would explain it – the iPad version relies on a base64-encoded version, and failing that falls back to a different font.
