Event invitation emails not sent

Hi,

It seems events notifications emails are not sent on my Cozy. However, I can confirm the email setup works great, as I can receive "lost password" emails.

When inviting some contact, I get an orange icon stating that the email was not sent, and clicking on the "mail" icon does not do much.

I could not find any interesting logs either in Cozy or my MTA for now. It seems Cozy-calendar does not even try to contact my MTA.

Thank you for the report, it might has broken when we added Cozy-to-Cozy event sharing.

In fact, the “mail” icon is not a button, just a reminder that an email will be sent.
The message is sent when you save the event: you should get a popup window asking to confirm that you want to send the email.

@clochix not sure we are talking about the same icon, but it does seem to be a button:

And there is a "hand" mouse cursor when hovering it.

My current flow is:

1. Edit an existing event, add a guest with their email address.
2. The guest popover looks like
3. Click ok, then save. No popup confirmation is shown, email invitation is still marked as not sent when reopening the popover.

By the way, on the image above, the "mail" icon is blue, maybe it should be orange which might be confusing at first sight (maybe it should be in orange or in a neutral color?). I mentally associated "blue" with "ok", and got confused :p

I can confirm that there are two issues:

• clicking on the email icon seems to do nothing (seems related to the new event sharing feature, ping @Gara64);
• when you add a contact to an existing event, the invitation is not sent. This is a huge regression. @jsilvestre can we do something?

Hello @noreiller.

Unfortunately, there won't be any fix in current version of the application.
A huge refactoring will occur during second quarter of 2017, to adapt the application to the new architecture of Cozy, and we'll then try to fix most of the outstanding issues.
