Package Details

Description Of The Library / Tool

FFmpeg is the leading multimedia framework, able to decode, encode, transcode, mux, demux, stream, filter and play pretty much anything that humans and machines have created. It supports the most obscure ancient formats up to the cutting edge. No matter if they were designed by some standards committee, the community or a corporation. It is also highly portable: FFmpeg compiles, runs, and passes our testing infrastructure FATE across Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, the BSDs, Solaris, etc. under a wide variety of build environments, machine architectures, and configurations.

The current Bincrafters recipe is in https://github.com/bincrafters/community/tree/main/recipes/ffmpeg not in the repository linked above (which is archived)

Before FFmpeg can be ported we still need several other dependencies

Can't it be ported without these few (optional) dependencies for the moment? Not having ffmpeg in CCI has consequences in several CCI recipes.

the most problematic dep would be a intel_media_sdk/2018R2_1@bincrafters/stable, probably it won't fit into conan center index at all.
others, except SDL2, are already there.
