See the original post for more details. Basically, show a QRcode that has a URL with a unique key for the session. The user scans the QRcode with their phone and the phone's brower is directed to a URL which marks the session as logged in. The phone's browser keeps a cookie associated with the user account.

Basically, it's like OpenID, but you auth on your phone instead of on another web site.
