Using EnsemblLite

  • what's in the Docker container, how to use it, how to update the code contained
  • overview of usage:
    • define what you want, export a sample config
    • download it, properties of the download
    • install it, properties of the download
    • run a command (preferably one also done in the REST demo)
  • using terminal commands, the tui and standard terminal
  • what can it do
  • what it can't
  • how to raise issues
  • start a discussion

using cogent3 on the output

  • aligning CDS sequences
  • selecting alignments , visualising, etc..

Contributing to EnsemblLite

  • @gavin to define some easy first issues
  • hackathon, sprint
  • demo of the GitHub software development workflow (if required)
  • code of conduct
  • vote for features
  • setup GitHub accounts
  • fork, clone
  • tackle an issue!
