Delete button merges blocks instead of deleting highlighted text #869

Have two text blocks in a row.
Select text from second block, starting at end of block and finishing at the start. (starting at the beginning of block and finishing at the end works fine)
Press "delete"

Instead of deleting the highlighted text, the second block is merged with the first block. Seems to affect all browsers.
