@cms-sw/all-l2, as CentOS Linux 7 reached its end of life (EOL) on June 30, 2024, newer versions of external packages no longer support it. While we have maintained slc7 builds due to its better memory monitoring/profiling capabilities, the growing number of external packages dropping support for this outdated OS has become a significant challenge. Therefore, @cms-sw/core-l2 proposes discontinuing slc7 IBs and releases starting with CMSSW_15_0_X.
