Actual

Screen recognises cable set-up but says no DisplayPort signal is being emitted.

A nice working external screen :-)

Addendum, this exact hardware setup (screen, cable, Lenovo adapter) works fine on a Fedora 31 install on another laptop.

This apparently solved itself when installing the non-free nvidia drivers. What the heck?
