Prevent auto-focus to main message input in responsive mode

When in mobile/responsive mode, auto-focusing the message input field will cause the soft keyboard to pop up which is a nuisance when you switch between rooms.

Describe the solution you'd like

When non-desktop size is detected, don't call focus on input fields automatically unless it's from a direct user action.
