How the plugin works

In this page of the wiki, I will go over the basics how the AF routine from this plugin works.

  1. start LV and calibrate lens (the plugin moves the lens focus all the way to infinite)
  2. Take exposure
  3. prepare and stretch the image
  4. calculate HFR (using NINAs stardetection analysis)
  5. add the calculated HFR to a list with all HFR values
  6. repeat steps 2 - 5, 9 times
  7. Determine final focus point (find the minimum HFR value and move focus back to there. I am not using NINAs curve fitting here, as I don't have this fine control over the lens, against a focuser)
