archlinux install notes #1

turns out running directly as python2 didn't work because the script will run other scripts. running got me this error:

turns out there is libtinfo-5 module though, installed that, and now it appears to be working! |
well, that draws about 30watts.

With the particular error you ran into, I think it was being pickier than the OSX build about needing the header around. I've since fixed that. You might try again after |
okay I got errors trying to run depot_tools,
which it turns out runs on python2. If your
python --version
gives you 2.7 then you are probably fine,but the way arch linux handles python is I have a
python2
command, andpython
ispython3
.but that is probably only a problem for arch users, anyway I got it working by running:
