Expected Behavior

the display of a chart

Current Behavior

console error:

SCRIPT438: SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'getRootNode'

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

just connect to :

https://www.chartjs.org/samples/latest/charts/pie.html

with edge

Context

Environment

chartjs 2.9.*

all is fine with 2.8
