Corporate projects moving to foundations

Description

This came out of a discussion on the relicensing / forks paper.

From @cdolfi: "As a bit of an offshoot, it would be very interesting to see the impacts of a vendor owned project moving under a foundation vs changing to a non OSI license. More contributors? Profit impacts? Etc"

From me: That would definitely be interesting to look at! Most of the projects going into the CNCF and a lot of the LF ones probably fit this model.
