Prof Davis, In class you mentioned you could provide directions on how to add a drive on our computer to store our class work in. I would be interested in being able to do that. Thank you.

Our 2019-2020 CGA Fellows put together this lovely video that walks you through the process with one slight difference: the server address has changed, see below for details.

  1. Connecting the W&M VPN (grants you access to W&M network services)
    • Run the Paloalto GlobalProtect VPNInstall DuoInstall VPN (https://gp.wm.edu)
    • Log in to gp.wm.edu
    • Sign in with your W&M email address as the user name (i.e., needs to include the @wm.edu or whatever)
  2. Create a new network connection
    • Select a path, such as U (or another letter)
    • Set the destination to \\gis-data.campus.wm.edu\acstore-classes (← this is new)
    • This will only work if you are on campus or you are connected to the VPN (see step 1 above)
