As per our yearly tradition, it's time to update what we have available on the open data portal. This year we're planning:

To add

  • a permits view
  • a "pin status" view
  • sales val (maybe)
  • comps (maybe)

To update

  • commercial valuation data
  • how parcel universe is regularly maintained - it will only have its most recent two years updated regularly moving forward (?) or will it be broken up into two assets, current year and historical.

When it comes to adding new assets we need to make sure any implicit assumptions are noted explicitly, document every single column we publish, and ensure that every column is formatted either before it's ingested by Socrata, or through Socrata's formatting functionality. Scorata formatting needs to be documented here. Once the assets are finished they need to be added to the "2024 Open Data Refresh" story we'll create, as well as our wiki.
