Can we add couts in sensor files

I wanted to add new carla sensor , in order to do that i wanted to check how other sensor works so i had added a cout in the code but that doesnt get printed on the terminal, neither on the client side nor on the server terminal.

i understand the code needs to be optimized .but just for understanding i wanted to add cout
