I just checked, it does this under Linux (example1). Any more details?

It seems to work with the default configuration, but not under the x11 subconfiguration. Also, shift+tab doesn't work even on the default config if you're focused on an EditLine, but EditLines probably shouldn't support unindenting with shift+tab by default
