I check my sidekiq queues to see if there's ingress traffic (your ingress queue will handle that) or when there's posts going out if they end up in the retry queue for a vary of reasons (501, DNS, time out etc)

Easiest way is to see if you get a response by hitting /actor. One can't hit the /inbox endpoint without it being a very specific POST request.
