FR option to disable automatic chat history (and use save button for select retention)

Ability to disable chat history or delete chat history from within Obsidian

I realized I can delete history by navigating to the smart-chats folder, but it would be nice to have a trash can icon in the Smart Chat view. It would also be nice to simply turn off the automatic retention of history, such that I have to hit the plus icon to save it, and otherwise it will be lost if I start a new chat.

Thanks for the feature request.

I think it makes sense to be able to disable automatic retention. And the existing save button should allow ad hoc retention.
