I have the same issue. After updating to Brave Version 1.22.70 Chromium: 89.0.4389.105 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit) in Linux Mint 20.1 xfce. Every time I start Brave anew after closing it, it loses all my passwords and login names. |
@Jildridge Brave does require permission to store the passwords (on macOS it will ask for keychain privs on launch; Windows uses the APIs on the machine). Linux is supposed to be using keyring. Do you have this installed? (ex: grep your package list for @ginger420 without more information we won't be able to look into your request. Windows does encrypt specific to your machine... if you changes machines or upgraded your OS it may lose this key and won't be able to decrypt. When you mention |
Description
most everything to due with my browser disappeared with the newest update, i had history still and bookmarks but not any of my passwords or phrases and my rewards started over even though it shows ive seen 106 ads.
Steps to Reproduce
Actual result:
loss of passwords/phrases
loss of all current rewards

just a simple update

literally just happened the first update since i started using it
