I have troubles installing the tsfresh package with pip. My operation system is MacOS Catalina 10.15.6, the version of tsfresh is 0.17.1 - the version that comes with installing it via pip. The command

pip install tsfresh

gives me the error message:

DEPRECATION: The -b/--build/--build-dir/--build-directory option is deprecated. pip 20.3 will remove support for this functionality. A possible replacement is use the TMPDIR/TEMP/TMP environment variable, possibly combined with --no-clean. You can find discussion regarding this at pypa/pip#8333.

I think it might be an issue with the package psuitl. Is this a known issue, or is there any workaround?

Thanks for your issue!
Yes, that looks like a problem with psutil and you might get a faster response and more help of you post it on the issue tracker of this project. There are already some similar issues there (e.g. giampaolo/psutil#1705 (comment)) that you might want to follow up on.

Just a tsfresh-related comment: we also offer a conda package on conda-forge and we would really recommend using it, as it will bring all the libraries without the need to compile anything on your side.
If you need help installing it, just post your questions :-)
