Describe the problem you are having
EDIT 1: I installed MX Linux, then the Server package (Apache, Php, MariaDB), and also the openssh server - all from the MX repository.
I then installed frigate. (I installed frigate as root - might that cause problems?)
(Note: The frigate.sh installation script was created in /home.
EDIT 2: I had to edit the installer_settings .yml file to set both gpu and coral to 'false'. The install then presented no errors.
EDIT 3: I can ping 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.xx.xx but not 192.168.xx.xx:5000 "Name or service not known."
If I understand, correctly, 192.168.xx.xx:5000 is where the browser interface for Frigate connects ...
EDIT 4: "nc -lvp 5000" activates tcp listening on that port "Host: "192.168.xx.xx:5000", and "netstat -tulpen | grep nc" shows "tcp 0 0.0.0.0:5000 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 0 etc" but Ping fails on 0.0.0.0:5000
EDIT 5: I tried disabling ufw, and specifically allowing 500 in ufw, and also restarting apache. No joy.
EDIT 6: I sent "# systemctl start ssh.service" with sudo and it worked.
Do I need to edit iptables like this?
What step(s) might I be missing, please?
EDIT 7: Do I need to edit docker-compose.yml or was that all handled by the frigate.sh installer script?
Thanks!
