If the motion mask isn't shown when enabled in the UI then it's most likely not been applied (Frigate needs a restart) In general this is not how motion masks are supposed to be used. Required_zones should be used |

Hi Nick, I have tried restarting it multiple times but it still doesn't block out the motion mask. The reason I added the mask there is because I'm not interested in that part of the video at all, and was hoping to reduce CPU load by preventing Frigate from analysing motion there. Is that what the motion mask would do? I already have required_zones used to limit when an event is captured, but with my current set up I was expecting:

Describe the problem you are having
Hi everyone,
I have Frigate set up with 2 cameras. Both have a motion mask configured. In one, the driveway, I see the motion mask on the debug page, shown as a black area on the camera. On the other, front gate, I don't see the black area. The front gate camera is capturing recordings (but not events) of cars driving past on the far side of the road which is within the motion mask. It seems like the motion mast on this camera isn't working properly, but I have configured them both the same.
Am I interpretting the black shading correctly? And if so, does anyone know why
