Safari autofill #7128
Comments
Hi there! We appreciate you letting us know of this issue. Due to the nature of autofill issues, we track them internally using different Forms depending on the platform: mobile: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScMopHyN7KGJs8hW562VTzbIGL4KcFnx0wJcsW0GYE1BnPiGA/viewform browser extension: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfkxh1w6vK8fLYwAbAAEVhvhMAJwfFNDtYtPUVk1y5WTHvJmQ/viewform In this case, we will go ahead and file an autofill report for you with the information you added here. In the future, if you encounter any other page or app that doesn't autofill as expected, please avoid opening a new GitHub issue and go directly to the corresponding form. This issue will now be closed. Thanks! |
@RihardsVeters You are not using the Bitwarden browser extension the way that it is intended to function.
If your vault items have stored the website's URL in one of the "URI" fields, then there should be not need to use search to find your accounts. As soon as you open the browser extension, you should see a list of all accounts that have a URL matching the current website. You then only need a single click on one of the listed accounts to auto-fill its credentials. If you imported your passwords from another password manager, it may be that the import process failed to correctly import your website URLs. I would suggest making a follow-up post in Bitwarden's Ask the Community forum, to request assistance with getting your vault properly configured. |
I’m SEO specialist and I’ve more than 10 accounts for few websites. How should I simply click on one account!? I’m using search and then it throws me back to Vault tab where is no simple autofill button. |
OK, thank you for clarifying — your use-case wasn't clear from your original post. Can you see all of your login accounts if you use the right-click context menu and select Bitwarden > Auto-fill logins? Other than that, what you are asking for (the ability to do a one-click auto-fill from the search results list) is not a bug, but a feature request. I see that you already found the relevant Feature Request thread in the Community Forum. |
Steps To Reproduce
Open website where you want to login. Click on extension and start searching for passwords.
Expected Result
After I find my wanted profile, I would like to simply click on it to autofill.
Actual Result
After I find my wanted profile, I need to open that item and only then I can press to autofill - one useless click.
