Facebook and Telegram requests are too high. Facebook is a new media that we want to explore, specially because Bitcoin LATAM community seems to be very active there, but it's still a very recent creation and has very little followers (37 likes) to request 280 USD for it. I don't remember if we did request something in the past for Telegram groups, but most of us are doing this task for free. So I think that 50 USD for both tasks would be ennough. About medium articles, Trading Rules is a translation of Trading rules doc which suits better at the wiki than medium. As we don't have yet a Spanish wiki, it's ok to publish that there. If it was a normal translation, with more than 3500 words, it would have cost 245 USD. I'll have to review a lot of the text, and I'm not sure that this was really needed, althought it might be useful in the future for the wiki. What is Bisq and What is BSQ articles are a good idea that fits right for Medium, but I had to redo almost all of it. I just reviewed a little the article Buy and sell bitcoin safely in Mexico.. 150 USD for the overall work is ok, but I wanted to make clear what has been done. I think that Medium articles needs to be well thought posts signalling the strengths and philosophy of Bisq. If you don't want to request something for translating bisq-desktop, signal that with the amount requested = 0USD. The videos are great. Also, I really like that we're finally developing a plan to bootstrap the use of Bisq at LATAM. |
For the record, luisantoniocrag did approach me (more than once) about publishing articles on the wiki instead of Medium—the hold-up is on my end, as it wasn't clear how to properly offer non-English articles on the wiki. But I recently found a plugin to make this possible, so hopefully this can change soon. Overall I do appreciate the energy luisantoniocrag is putting into this effort! I'll leave the amounts to you guys to figure out. |
I already told @luisantoniocrag via Keybase that he can edit the compensation request if he thinks it's necessary and comment when he does that. |
I'm rejecting proposal with TXID |
It would be good if we could have such discussions here on the thread in the future, so that thought processes and results are clear for everyone. I left this open-ended expecting that we would get a more definitive result before voting started, but it's not clear what that result is. From an overall growth budgeting perspective, this request is ok. But since the contests in this thread were never addressed, I think it is more advisable to reject it. |
I understand I will be more detailed for the next cycle. |
Thank you for your comments. |

ARS market
I am also talking to some people within the crypto ecosystem living in Argentina to start with the ARS / BTC bounty and get the market moving.
As I mentioned on the Start and growth LATAM market, in the next 30 days the market in Mexico should grow and the market in Argentina should start.
We are now beginning the second stage of my efforts.
