Cannot Link To Alexa

Following the instructions, scan the QR code but on my iOS devices it takes me to the AppStore. If I click open it just opens the Alexa app and does nothing else.

Same issue here but on Android. play.google.com/store is opened with a popup to continue to Google Play Store app which opens Amazon Alexa in Google Play. When i click open, the Alexa app opens but nothing else happens.

I have the same issue on my node red at raspberry pi and windows and/or iOS.
On the raspberry or windows, a web page will be opened with a QR code. Sometimes the App Store will be opened, sometimes the Alexa app. But nothing happens.
any help or solution would be helpful. THX
