From 7a79817b1ee288d185521e6b0b51a352b0abd710 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Joris Kraak Date: Thu, 28 Mar 2024 13:46:28 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] ci(semantic-release): register the created tag explicitly with JuliaRegistrator In most scenarios the `main` branch is equivalent to the generated tag. However, when signing commits the tag will be a unique object that can be referenced instead. The tag will also be more stable/less likely to change during the time the registration process runs, which in general is likely not an issue but it does not hurt to guard against. --- .github/workflows/Release.yml | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/.github/workflows/Release.yml b/.github/workflows/Release.yml index d574b53..1a1d87f 100644 --- a/.github/workflows/Release.yml +++ b/.github/workflows/Release.yml @@ -28,4 +28,4 @@ jobs: uses: peter-evans/commit-comment@v3 if: steps.semantic-release.outputs.new_release_published == 'true' with: - body: '@JuliaRegistrator register branch=main' + body: '@JuliaRegistrator register branch=${{ steps.semantic-release.outputs.new_release_git_tag }}'
