bash start.sh fails on ec2 amazon linux2/python 3.7

When running bash start.sh on amazon linux2 with python 3.7.x the below code fails:

if ! python3 -c "import awsiot" &> /dev/null; then
  printf "\nInstalling AWS SDK...	\n"
  python3 -m pip install ./aws-iot-device-sdk-python-v2

Error is:

defaulting to user installation because normal site-packages is not writeable
error: could not find a version that satisfies the requirement aws-iot-device-sdk-python-v2 (from versions: none) error: no matching distribution found for aws-iot-device-sdk-python-v2
no matching distribution found for awscrt==0.23.5 (from awsiotsdk)

What would be the best way to resolve this? Does the aws-iot-sdk supported on Amazon Linux 2023?

Python3.7 is no longer supported. In general, the awscrt module will drop support for Python versions as they leave end-of-life mode: https://devguide.python.org/versions/
