Description

Switching AWS Elastic Transcoder to AWS Elemental MediaConvert in demo/terraform/documentation. AWS announced that they're shutting down Elastic Transcoder on 11/13/2025. It shouldn't be too bad given there is already a MediaConvert adapter in active_encode but there is a deadline for us and others using avalon-terraform.

Done Looks Like

  • Update demo site to use MediaConvert for testing
  • Ensure MediaConvert adapter is working as expected with terraform instances
  • Add check in Avalon to catch the use of Elastic Transcoder and warn users and provide guidance
