Autoware ARM Docker Image Build Failure

We are experiencing a failure when building the Docker image of Autoware for ARM.

The attached log is one of the representative cases of the error.
The Autoware build process consistently stops due to irregular error logs like the ones below:

• Error running link command: Segmentation fault
• cc: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault signal terminated program cc1
• c++: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault signal terminated program collect2

Based on the error messages, we suspect that the issue is related to the ARM compilation environment.

Questions:

1. Is Tier4 aware of this issue, and do you have any plans to address it?
2. If so, could you share the timeline for the fix?
3. Additionally, is there any way to work around this issue to successfully complete the build at this time?

Build Environment:

• Host PC: x86_64, Ubuntu 22.04
• Autoware Version: 0.40.0
• Command Used: ./docker/build.sh --platform linux/arm64

Enabling experimental features and qemu installation (sudo apt install qemu-system) did work for me. Let us know if it solves your issue, we can update our docs.

Your solution does not work.
The issue still occurs even in the environment where your solution has been applied.
