docker gpg download error during TASK [autoware.dev_env.docker_engine : Authorize Docker GPG key] in setup-dev-env.sh

Hello

I am installing Autoware without CUDA following this instruction https://autowarefoundation.github.io/autoware-documentation/main/installation/autoware/docker-installation/
I executed these three lines on Ubuntu 24 in WSL.

git clone https://github.com/autowarefoundation/autoware.git
cd autoware
./setup-dev-env.sh -y --no-nvidia docker

And got stuck in "TASK [autoware.dev_env.docker_engine : Authorize Docker GPG key]"
An error was thrown, fatal: [localhost]: FAILED! => {"changed": false, "msg": "Failed to download key at https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg: An unknown error occurred: 'CustomHTTPSConnection' object has no attribute 'cert_file'"}

Do anybody have a solution for this?

As far as I remembered, I had same issue while setting up Autoware on my desktop with Ubuntu 24.04. Upgrading ansible to the latest version solved my issue.
If you can upgrade ansible, let us know from which to which version you upgraded and if it fixed your issue.

I don't remember that I've ever installed ansible manually.
It seems that the Autoware installer installed it for me.

Anyway, I confirmed version of ansible currently in my environment.

ansible [core 2.13.13]
  config file = None
  configured module search path = ['/home/ubuntu/.ansible/plugins/modules', '/usr/share/ansible/plugins/modules']
  ansible python module location = /home/ubuntu/.local/share/pipx/venvs/ansible/lib/python3.12/site-packages/ansible
  ansible collection location = /home/ubuntu/.ansible/collections:/usr/share/ansible/collections
  executable location = /home/ubuntu/.local/bin/ansible
  python version = 3.12.3 (main, Jan 17 2025, 18:03:48) [GCC 13.3.0]
  jinja version = 3.1.5
  libyaml = True

And then, I used pipx to upgrade ansible to the latest one.

pipx upgrade --include-injected ansible

After then, the version changed to 2.18.2

But when I continued to run Autoware installer (setup-dev-env.sh), the newly upgraded latest ansible was uninstalled and the version of it was back to 2.13.13. And the error still exists.
How can I prevent the downgrade of ansible?

I gave up installing Autoware on Ubuntu 24.04.

After some searching, this answer tells that there are some issues when using ansible <2.16 together with Python 3.12.
ansible/ansible#83213 (comment)

I remembered that when I ran setup-dev-env.sh at the first time on Ubuntu 24.04, there was an error of Python.
Some Python packages could not be installed. So I did it manually.
I don't want to spend time on fighting with Python version, so I decided to use Ubuntu 22.04. (Thankfully changing to different version of Ubuntu is very easy in WSL)
