Remove bad fields from availability

The surveys database contains the vast data as-observed, but not all observations pass validation. As @dlakaplan has pointed out, this can produce confusing errors when files are missing.

To do: remove all fields that did not pass validation, and add a utils function to easily do that for future observations.
