When creating stuff like grass and dirt tiles, repeating/tileable textures or simply have to draw something with repeating shapes. The option you have currently(as far as I know) is to either draw it all manually, select + copy + paste over and over again, or select shape, make a brush, paint + select new shape + make brush + paint etc.

To speed up this workflow and cut down the tedium could be to have an option to store brushes in a temporary pool. When you then draw using this pool as a brush. The brush is randomized on each stroke, effectively making a randomized stamping tool.

For these types of more specific tools for specific workflows, you can often already find existing Aseprite Plugins/Aseprite Extensions.

In this case, sounds like this extension is exactly what you're looking for!

EDIT: Actually, it might only work for modifications to a single brush, rather than using multiple brushes.

EDIT Perhaps this script will work instead, it sounds like multiple brushes are supported, although it is a few years old.

EDIT Okay this time for real, a recent plugin, exactly for the usecase you have!

Thanks for the suggestions! I have some use for all three frankly. I knew about Live Brush but I didn't know it had this feature, so I bought it but the extension was quarantined by Itch apparently for 'suspicious behavior' from the dev...

While I'd still like a built-in tool/feature. I do get that the priority might not be high for feature requests that are already fulfilled by community extensions.
